Age Requirements on Geneva

Geneva is restricted to users ages 17 and up.

As we continue to release features that facilitate and encourage groups on Geneva to meet up with new people in person, it is essential that we create guardrails that ensure these online-to-offline connections are as safe as possible.

Starting September 2023, we will be collecting age within the app, and any users who are under 17 will no longer be able to access Geneva.

Privacy + Visibility

By default, your age is shown on your profile. You can adjust the visibility of your age on your profile at any time.

Your full birthday is never shown or shared with anyone.

Showing + hiding age on your profile

You can choose to hide or show your age on your profile and update that preference at any time.

To do so:

1. Select your profile and then hit ‘Edit profile.’
2. Select your birthday and toggle ‘Show age on profile’ to off.
3. Hit ‘Save’.
4. All set! Your age visibility preference has been updated.
