There are two different ways you can join a group on Geneva.

Discover groups in the app

On our iPhone and Android apps, you can find groups in your area, based on your interest or by searching specific terms.

To open the “Discovery” section, tap the compass icon in the bottom menu and on Android, tap the search icon in the side menu.

You can then browse the list, search for group by name/topic, check out specific categories/topics, and join any group you’re interested in

Groups in your area

iOS only at this time. We are working on adding this to Android as well.

If you have a location associated with your profile, Discovery will show any groups that are in your area. You can add your location and choose how it is shared with others by editing your profile.

Discovery is showing local groups when you see ‘Near Me’ at the top of the screen. You can tap this and select ‘Everywhere’ to see all groups.

If there are not many groups in your area, we encourage you to make one!

Browsing groups

You can browse groups in Discovery in a few different ways. Tapping a group from any of these lists will show you a preview of the group and an option to join that group.

Switching between local groups and groups everywhere

If you have a location set, opening discovery will show any local groups, as mentioned above. (iOS only at this time.)

If you do not have a location set, you will groups from everywhere.
