One of the advantages of Geneva over a single-stream chat app where all the group's conversations happen in one place is that people have the flexibility to choose which conversations they want to be part of, and which ones they dont.

• If you want to stay part of a room but don't want to get push notifications for it, you can mute the room.
• If you don't want to be part of room at all (and the room isn't "Required") you can leave the room (see below)

Joining rooms

On Web / Desktop

1. Scroll to the bottom of the rooms list
2. Select ‘Join more rooms’
3. Select ‘Join’ next to the room you want to join

1. Scroll to the bottom of the rooms list

2. Select ‘Join more rooms’

1. Right-click on the room name
2. Select leave
